Our 3rd stop on this European adventure is BARCELONA!
After a couple days in the romantical city full of love locks & delicious crepes, we were ready to take on some paella & party our asses off.
So we did.
I guess my biggest piece of advice from this stop would be.... if two beautiful men ask you & your sister to meet them at 8:00am for a day full of adventure on the back of their mopeds, YOU WAKE YOUR ASS UP AND GO. Do you think we made it that morning? Nope.
...we never saw those tall dark handsome beautifully sculpted foreigners with accents again.
This was the hostel we stayed at in Barcelona. I wish I remembered the name of it (sorry, I’m basically no help at all), but I will definitely stay here again when I return.
The people we met at the hostel were awesome - full of 20 year olds from all over the world. Even the people who worked at the hostel were travelers who ended up staying in Barcelona. Each night, the hostel residents would go to the bars & clubs together, which made it that much more fun going out with a group of people.
Barcelona is such a great city for walking & doing some street shopping. Vendors line the streets, live music is always playing, and the best part of all...PAELLA!
I would definitely suggest heading out to the pier at some point during your stay. My sister and I spontaneously went to grab some paella and sangria at a restaurant located near the pier - we ended up staying at the restaurant for 5 hours! Yes, 5 hours of sangria…. we didn’t get drunk or anything.
One of the best views of the whole city is at Mount Tibidabo. Located at Mount Tibidabo is the Sagrat Cor church as well as the Tibidabo Amusement Park. Yes, an amusement park! This should 100% be at the top of your bucket list for the view alone.
That time we took a two hour nap on this beautiful beach. Trust me, it was just as relaxing as it looks...
After our nap, we went to another restaurant to have some, once again, paella & sangria.
Last but not least, the FC Barcelona stadium, Camp Nou. I didn’t have enough time for a game, but I did buy a t-shirt. I know, not nearly as cool. Maybe I shouldn’t have spent so much time partying here. Just kidding. If you are planning on visiting Barcelona, get ready for a damn good time!
Next Stop... R O M A !
